We are sad that we could not bring you this year’s OrKIDstra concert at Bremerton High School featuring Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf but we are delighted to share with you a video of the performance of this same song featured in February as part of the Peninsula Dance Theatre’s Choreography Showcase at the Admiral Theatre.
Please enjoy and share with your students or children as part of their online studies.
Peter & The Wolf
Peninsula Dance Theater and Bremerton WestSound Symphony at Admiral Theater.
In this guide, you will find two lesson plans that can be easily executed at home or school and a reflection page for you and your students to complete after you have watched the performance.
Learn about the instruments of the orchestra: what they’re made from, how they produce sound, and where to spot them in the orchestra.
Due to schools in Washington State being closed for the remainder of the school year, we are unable to reschedule our OrKIDstra performance featuring Peter and the Wolf. At this time, here are some options you have regarding ticketing:
1) For those who had previously purchased seats OR reservations – you may transfer all or some of your tickets to next year’s show. This will be on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 and we will have two time slots to choose from: 9:45am and 11:30am at the Bremerton Performing Arts Center. This will feature Edward Grieg’s Peer Gynt and other Nordic-inspired music. You may reserve or hold tickets now for the best seats and you do not need to know the exact number of tickets right now; we will work with you as we get closer to that event for seating.
2) In lieu of a refund or transfer of tickets, you may receive guest passes for ANY concert in our 2020-2021 season. Each single pass will be good for one child/student (age 18 or under) and one adult. (so 2 tickets!). Please email us for how many you need and the address of where these should be sent.
3) You may donate your tickets to another group (or individual) OR to our organization. Give the gift of music to another group (or individual) for next year’s OrKIDstra. OR – give the gift of vitally needed funds in this difficult time to the Bremerton WestSound Symphony. Your tax-deductible donation today means that the next time you join us for a concert, the orchestra will be here to share the joy of live music with you once more, as a healthy, vibrant and financially secure organization. Please specify in email how you would like your donation to be applied whether to allow another group or individual to attend OrKIDstra in March 2021 OR to our general BSA fund.
4) You may request a refund. We know the options above may not be feasible for everyone. As our physical offices are currently closed, we will not start processing refunds until government restrictions are lifted. This may take some time. We appreciate your patience.
